Microphones: Speak with POW!r™ programs use microphones and inexpensive amplifier systems to give students a special sense of vocal power and projection. Group Size & Individual Attention: A large audience is necessary to practice many theater exercises effectively. Large group sizes can be used to present and practice many of the skills. Large groups are then be broken down into smaller groups for individual student attention. Time: Time considerations must be balanced between student attention spans and allowing adequate time for each student to present and perform individually. Student Self Coaching: Involving students in the coaching process engages them as an audience and repeats, reinforces and rewards performance of the new presentation skills being taught as they help coach each other. Student Ages: Pre-Kindergarten students as young as four years old have excelled in past Speak with POW!r programs. Students who are too young to read and write can tell stories they already know for their presentations. They can also rehearse by listening to recordings of their presentations. Media & Printed Materials: Simple, inexpensive handouts have been developed to support the program. We plan to offer new Speak with POW!r Student Workbooks and Coaching Manuals in the future. It is also possible provide students with Before, After and Rehearsal video tapes or DVDs of their presentations and to even eventually televise student programs on local public access television stations. Program Content: Speak with POW!r programs are adapted to specific student needs and learning situations and include materials from our Magnetic Voice, Power-Posture and Happiness Habit materials. Specific Program Content is Available by Request: Email us at: Info@SpeakwithPOWr.com or call 404-934-1755 Program Length: Short Speak with POW!r Workshops and Skill Building Game Days are effectively delivered in half or full day formats depending upon student age, goals and experience. Impromptu Speaking Workshops highlighting Speak with POW!r skills can be tailored to any time and format. It is important participants have opportunities to rehearse and reinforce new skills to retain and apply them effectively. The minimum time to prepare students for an oratorical or speech contest with intense coaching or parental involvement is six weeks. This involves an introductory program, four weeks of speech development, practice and presentation polishing leading to a final public presentation on the 6th week. Eight weeks or more helps ensure success. Tubo Charge AR* Programs focus primarily on skill building and can be tailored to fit any time period or span. The emphasis is on student progress and not competitive preparation. Student Groups: It is always best to work with existing school classes or groups who can encourage, help, remind and reinforce each other to practice the new skills. It’s harder to implement programs in isolation where there is no reinforcement or feed back from fellow participants with common goals and training. Speak with POW!r programs are fun and very effective. The learning process is so unique and powerful it is protected by a U.S. patent pending. The best way to understand what we do is to see it in action! Call us at 404-934-1755 to schedule a trial program. |
